Winner in Kids’ Choice Contest ’22. WriteMentor Flash Fiction Shortlist ’22. Michelle Begley Program Mentee ’23. Member of the Story Grid Guild since 2020 and SCBWI PAL since 2010.

I am a queer, neurodivergent author/illustrator inspired by Tom Lichtenheld and Kaz Windness. I write picture books, early readers, graphic novels, and middle grade novels that explore nonbinary identity, math anxiety, and climate crises.

I also blog about how to write books for kids, and about design.

Designer

Brand and UX/UI designer, marketing consultant, user researcher at OddBird. A Certified Object-Oriented UX (OOUX) strategist and mentor.

When I’m not writing kidlit, I work at OddBird web design and development agency. Since 2014, I’ve been the lead brand and user experience/interface designer – as well as a marketing expert, usability tester, and object-oriented UX strategist.

Drummer

Drummer and vocalist performing soundscapes and poetry in Teacup Gorilla, a dark indie-rock band.
